Agrowtek GCX + CoPilot Integration

The video below goes over the CoPilot integration with the Agrowtek GCX.

Audio Transcript:
Hey Guys, today we’re going go through setting up a CoPilot Program from your GCX controller.

So some of you may have noticed that in your GCX on the controls tab you have a CoPilot Functions folder. However, if you click that CoPilot function block, you’re going to see a message stating that CoPilot irrigation functions must be configured through the Growlink Cloud Platform.

So what we’re gonna do is jump over to the Growlink account that you have your GCX registered to. We’re going to go over to the Irrigation Tab and click Add New Program, select a CoPilot Program, and then we’re gonna go and input all of our information here. So we’ll start with the name, the devices to use, the steering type, emitter flow rate, number of emitters per plant, and number of plants in the zone, as well as the lights on and lights off times for that zone.

Now that I have all my settings, I’m going to hit the Next button to go over to the next tab, which will be all of your timers that you wanted to create for ramp up, maintenance, flush, and even a failsafe. So we’ll go ahead and stick with the defaults that the program created and we’ll add a overnight failsafe here. This will be the lowest percentage that you want the CoPilot Program to reach, how long it will irrigate for when triggered, and how often it’s going to re-evaluate that sensor data when triggered.

We’ll go over to the next slide, which will give you all the vwc targets that you have for each one of these irrigation periods. For this one as well, we’ll stick with the defaults that the program gave us. Moving onto the next tab, this will just show you the generic information associated with the program created. Click ‘Review and Create’ to finalize the creation of the program.

Now that we have a CoPIlot Program created, you can go into your GCX and you’ll see that you have a CoPilot function block created. When you select this function block, this will allow you to review all of the timers that you created, as well as activate and de-activate the program if you wanted. So you can see here we have a quantity of 5 ramp up shots, and 6 maintenance shots.

If we wanted to make changes to that CoPilot Program's configuration, we need to do that within the Growlink Platform. So we’ll jump back over there, we’ll go ahead an edit this program, and let’s say we wanted to add a ramp-up shot and do one less maintenance shot. With the changes made, we’ll apply the changes and then go back into the GCX. When selecting the function block again you’ll see that the quantities of the ramp and maintenance shots have updated to match the changes made in Growlink.

If we wanted to deactivate this CoPilot program, we’ll click on the equipment tab and you’ll see we have an enabled and disabled button underneath the Function Enable Mode section. If we click Disabled and then save that change, go back into the Growlink Platform and you can see that this program has been de-activated.

If we re-activate the CoPilot Program within the Growlink Platform and save that change, then go back into the GCX and view the CoPilot function block, you will see a green dot indicating the program has been reactivated.
