Hey, this is Josh with Growlink and in today's walkthrough will be going over how to make a manual task override within the Growlink Mobile App.

It's prudent to mention that the manual task overrides are only available for environmental controllers such as Cores, Revpis, and Connect Controllers. Irrigation controllers such as the Precision irrigation Controller cannot currently use manual task overrides.

These manual task overrides are important for features such as setting up an IPM spray for you'd like to dim the lights and prevent a device from turning on for the duration of this task.

As an example, we're going to set one up within the Growlink Mobile app.

We’ll start by logging into your account, going to the controller you want to make this rule on, and then heading to the rules page.

From there, you'll select the rule group that you want to make this rule in.

In this case, we're going to choose the Manual task Overrides.

Once we're inside the rule group, we're going to add a manual task.

In this manual task field, you'll notice that there is a Device and Overrides field.

The Devices field is meant for devices that we want to change the state of.

In this case, we're going to set the lighting dimming zone to 20%.

Next, for the overrides field, this is what we want to specify the device we want to turn off for the duration of this task.

In this case, we want to prevent the exhaust fan from being turned on.

Next, we're going to specify default duration.

In this case, we're just going to set it to be one hour.

Last thing, we want to choose a display name for this, and we're just going to select IPM mode as the name for this rule.

Next, we're going to save this change and push a config update to the controller.

With the config update being pushed, we will now go to the Devices tab and here we can see we have a light dimming zone currently at full brightness and an exhaust fan that's on.

If we go to the task tab, we can see that IPM mode manual task that we made.

And if we hit the play button and then go back to the Devices tab, we can see the light dimming zone has been set to 20% throttle and the exhaust fan that was previously on has been put into auto off.

Now this would stay this way for the remaining duration, in this case about 59 minutes and 45 seconds.

But we can also end this manual task early by pressing the stop button.

And if we go back to the devices tab, the light dimming zones back up to full throttle and the exhaust fan is still on.

This concludes how you would make a manual task override within the Growlink mobile app.
