Persistent alerts are a newly added feature within Growlink. When enabled, this will send a series of alerts up to 7 times or until the alert is resolved. This can help ensure that customers are aware of a critical alert.
- All controller offline notifications will automatically get repeat notifications as these are high priority by default.
- Users have an additional toggle on all module edits in the Hardware>Controllers>Module edit panel to indicate whether the offline alert has repeated notifications or not:
- Users can also enable persistent alerts on sensor alerts by activating the ‘Enable Persistent, Repeating Notifications’ toggle within the sensor alert form:
- When enabled, persistent alerts are sent a maximum of 7 times or until it is resolved.
- #1 - Alert becomes active
- #2 - Activation alert repeats at 15 min after first activation
- #3 - Activation alert repeats at 30 min after first activation
- #4 - Activation alert repeats at 60 min after first activation
- #5 - Activation alert repeats at 2 hours after first activation
- #6 - Activation alert repeats at 4 hours after first activation
- #7 - Activation alert repeats at 8 hours after first activation
- All repeat alerts will have a (x/Max 6 or 7) indicator at the end of the message. The max number will depend on whether the offline alert is for a controller or a module. For a controller offline alert, the first message will have no additional data and only the repeat notifications will get the (x/ Max 6) copy at the end. For modules that have the repeated notifications toggle set, even the first alert will have the additional text of (x/Max 7)

- (GROWLINK CONNECTION ALERT) Example Controller is offline. Please check to avoid disruption and potential crop loss. (1/Max 6). Reply STOP to disable all future alerts from Growlink.
- Example Controller Offline Email alert:
- Immediate action required: The following controller appears to have been disconnected for at least 20 minute(s) and should be checked to ensure normal operation is not interrupted, as this could lead to adverse effects including potential crop loss.
