Hey, this is Josh with Growlink, and in today's walkthrough we'll be going over the Devices tab within Portal 2.0.

You'll start by logging in to Portal 2.0 and selecting one of your controllers to get to the controller dashboard.

From there, at the top of the page there is a Devices tab which holds any registered output to your controller.

In this case, the controller is a PIC, so it has four valve outputs.

Each output has four states, manual-off, auto-off, auto-on, and manual-on.

The device state of Manual-Off will prevent a device from being activated from any room, so it's useful when you want a valve to remain off.

Auto-off means that the device is currently off but is listening for any activations to be called from configured rules.

Auto-on is the device state that would activate the valve if a rule is calling that output to activate.

Manual-on is the device state that will ignore any rules and open the valve, which is good for testing to make sure the output will turn on or if you need to manually feed a zone for a brief moment in time.

As you can see, as I click through these device states, I can manually change these states for any of these outputs.

It's recommended to keep your devices in auto so that they'll listen to any rules, but you can turn them to manual on or manual off for testing or manual intervention.

This concludes the Devices tab walkthrough within Portal 2.0.
